THE FIRST International Conference on Interventional Pain Medicine & Neuromodulation in Central Europe took place in the beautiful, historic city of Wroclaw, Poland on Saturday, 3 September 2011.
The Interventional Section of the Polish Pain Society, the Neuromodulation Society of Poland and UK pain specialists joined together to organise a ground-breaking event for the region.
A faculty of international experts from Spain, Switzerland, UK, Ireland, Czech Republic and Poland delivered key note lectures in English focusing on interventional procedures for chronic pain and cancer pain as well as neuromodulation approaches for managing a variety of pain conditions.
The conference also featured hands-on live model workshops exploring ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
The meeting opened beneath the breathtaking 17th Century frescoes in the baroque Aula Leopoldina Hall at Wroclaw University and the whole event was a resounding success.
